| Do A Good Deed Today! Random Acts of Kindness In The Classroom! |
The Gem Random Acts of Kindness® Program is announcing the launch of a brand new program focused on motivating our schools to practice acts of kindness.
“This is the only program of its kind in Rhode Island and we hope it generates national attention” said Anthony Gemma, President of Gem Plumbing & Heating. “The initiative here is to get classrooms throughout our community involved in a Random Acts of Kindness project. Once a school or classroom develops the project they want to work on, they can submit their project outline to us by clicking on the Random Acts of Kindness® logo at www.gemplumbing.com. Every entry will be reviewed and those projects chosen will receive the funding to make their act of kindness happen.
“As a family, and as business owners, we have been very fortunate over the years and now it’s time for us to give back to our community, our customers, their families, friends and colleagues”, said Gemma. “What better way to pay it forward…than with a random act of kindness.
The Gem Random Acts of Kindness Program® was established in 2003 with a mission to communicate the importance of paying it forward. Gem describes a random act of kindness as the considerate unexpected good deeds that you do that make someone’s day by making them smile. Gem employees are encouraged to perform at least one random act of kindness per day.
