| 2003 Komen Sponsor of the Year |
The Rhode Island Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation recently named Gem Plumbing & Heating “Sponsor of the Year”.
Gem signed on as a local sponsor of the Komen Foundation’s 2003 Rhode Island Race For The Cure which was held in October 2003 in Scituate, RI. Gem Plumbing is a pivotal supporter of the Komen Foundation in Rhode Island. They have donated their services, nearly $ 25,000 of funding for radio advertising and actively participated in Komen fundraising events throughout Rhode Island.
Gem Plumbing & Heating has made a lifetime commitment to breast cancer awareness. In 2001, Gloria Gemma, mother of the family of nine, died from complications with breast cancer. In her memory, the Gemma family will dedicate a portion of the proceeds of every service call to breast cancer awareness. |
